err, the June 9 viewing guide...it’s one game. There’s one game to watch.

There’s just one nationally televised club game this weekend so we’ll get right to it

Saturday

Columbus Crew SC v New York Red Bulls - 5:00p on ESPN

Immediately following the USMNT friendly against France on Saturday afternoon you can catch two of the top MLS Eastern Conference teams facing off. The Columbus Crew come into the game unbeaten in their last eight though they’ve drawn the last two having come from behind last weekend to tie Toronto FC after initially falling behind 3-0. USMNT veteran Gyasi Zardes scored the first of the Crew’s three goals in the comeback and is now tied for second most goals in the league (with Bradley Wright-Philips who should be in action for NYRB). Zardes will be in action without fellow USMNT members Will Trapp and Zack Steffen who are actually with the team for the friendlies.

Likewise, the NYRB will be without Tyler Adams who is also with the USMNT for their friendly against France which leaves us with not much to see on that side of the ball from a USMNT perspective. The Red Bulls lost last weekend without Adams to break a five game unbeaten streak.

That’s it for the weekend, there will be separate threads for full coverage of the USMNT’s friendly against France.

We’ll be off next weekend as there are no nationally televised MLS games next weekend.
