The wild and crazy 2018 World Cup rolls on today with the third set of Round of 16 match-ups. Today offers up two tasty matches headlined by arguably the most-anticipated of the entire round with Mexico and Brazil. The USMNT’s biggest rival will have their hands full as they look to advance past the Round of 16 for the first time since 1986. On the other hand, Brazil look to be one of the top favorites left in the tournament and will be hoping to improve upon their lackluster group performances. Can Neymar get going in time to lead the Samba Boys to the promised land? Or will Carlos Vela and company pull off the upset and send another top team home from this unpredictable tournament?
When that mouth-watering tie is decided we’ll transition to possibly the most impressive team in the World Cup so far. An in-form Romelu Lukaku has Belgium looking like the cream of the crop through the group stage. While Japan are certainly capable of pulling off the upset, the odds are heavily in favor of the Red Devils in this one. Let’s see if they have a little bit easier of a time in the Round of 16 this time without Tim Howard in goal saving 157 shots.
