Sergino Dest scores his first career goal(s) for Ajax

Recently capped American Sergino Dest has scored the first two goals of his young Ajax career in a Dutch Cup match against Ereste Divise team SC Telstar on Wednesday evening.

The first goal was Ajax’s second of the day and came as Ajax quickly moved the ball down the left side before finding Dest left all alone near the top of the 18. The defending left a lot to be desired but Dest made no mistakes with the finish.

Telstar would pull within one before the half but Ajax scored shortly into the second half and Dest would stretch the Ajax lead to three goals in the 57th minute when he was again fed the ball near the top of the 18, though this time more on the left side of the box. The Telstar defense did a better job of closing down this time but Dest curled a lovely finish between two defenders and past the outstretched arms of the keeper into the top right corner.

Ajax would go on to give up two more goals but hang on for the win thanks to Dest’s Man of the Match level performance.
