We’ve already had a sneak peek at the leaked home kit for the USWNT’s World Cup jerseys this summer, but now both home and away are out along with the usual hype materials from Nike.
This summer the US women’s national team will have a mostly-white home kit and a red-and-blue away one. You can look at close-ups of more of the details in USSF’s press release, which gave us the cover of the hottest girl group album dropping in 1999. (Pinoe is obviously the misunderstood Bad Girl of the group.)

Details we like: the three stars on the shorts and the neck tab on the back, the stripes on the white socks, and the sentiment behind the deliberate throwback to the 1999 World Cup uniform.

Details we’re meh on: the random scratchy graphic textures on the red kit make it look too busy (and dare we say it, dirty), not quite enough white detail in the red away kit to really give you the feel of red-white-and-blue.
The spirit behind the white kit is nice but the shirt is still boring, although it’ll definitely look much better once it has numbers, names, and that sweet World Cup winners badge on it. Side note, the names of the states on the back of the shirt is cool and all, but it might have been even cooler to print the names of every player on both the 1999 and 2015 World Cup winning squads?
Here’s the unveiling video with the players that Nike sent out, where we presume Alex Morgan had to be restrained from saying it looks “clean” at least once.
What do you think? Will you be shelling out for these jerseys? Too much in the away, too little in the home, or just right? Let us know in the comments.
