Gregg Berhalter has been forced to make one change to his roster for the USMNT’s upcoming friendlies against Ecuador and Chile. Columbus Crew goalkeeper Zack Steffen sustained a minor knee injury in his team’s 1-0 win over FC Dallas on Saturday. The losing goalkeeper in that match, Jesse Gonzalez, has been called in as his replacement.

Despite filing a one-time switch to represent the United States in 2017, Gonzalez has yet to earn a cap with the full national team.
