The United States Men’s National Team won their third consecutive match when they defeated Ecuador 1-0 in Orlando on Thursday night. Gyasi Zardes scored the game’s only goal in the 81st minute, his shot from just outside the penalty area taking a massive deflection and beating the Ecuador keeper just under the crossbar. Ecuador rarely threatened offensively, deciding to sit back and defend and force the USMNT to break them down. While the US showed some flashes of quick combinations, they largely struggled to create chances against Ecuador.
