In the latest edition of the FIFA rankings, released April 4, the United States Men’s National Team moved up one spot to 24. The team is sandwiched between Senegal (23) and Romania (25).
Since the February edition of the rankings, the USMNT has played two home friendlies, beating Ecuador 1-0 and tying Chile 1-1.
Mexico remains the highest-ranked CONCACAF team, dropping one spot to 18. Costa Rica and Jamaica are the 3rd and 4th highest-ranked teams in the region, sitting at 38 and 56 respectively.
Canada and Cuba, the USMNT’s opponents in this fall’s CONCACAF Nations League A, Group A, are ranked 78 and 174 respectively.
The top 10 consists of Belgium (1), France (2), Brazil (3), Croatia (4), England (5), Portugal (6), Uruguay (7), Switzerland (8), Spain (9), and Denmark (10).
The USMNT returns to action in a June 5 pre-Gold Cup friendly against Jamaica, in Washington, D.C.
