While the United States Women’s National Team are the center of debate and controversy back home for this 2019 Women’s World Cup, there’s still two more matches to be played in the group stage. The first of those two matches will take place Sunday in Paris at the Parc des Princes when the USWNT battle Chile.
For most fans, the migration to Paris has happened, while some who are using Paris as a home base have been taking the downtime to take in some of the sights of the great city. River cruises and bus tours have taken fans to see some of the major landmarks of the city, while others have braved the lines at the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, or even Disneyland Paris. They’ve tried to get the perfect shot or yelled at Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe as they were interviewed on the Fox studio set.
Tomorrow, a wave of Americans will hit French soil, poised to make this city feel like home away from home. With tens of thousands of American fans expected to pack into Parc des Princes Sunday, fans are preparing for two days of parties in preparation for the big match. Today, it’s about relaxation, seeing some sights, and otherwise having a calm day before an American party breaks out in Paris. We’ll check back after the match to recap what is certain to be an incredible weekend.
