The Women’s World Cup action keeps on coming and there’s more in store on Saturday with the Netherlands and Canada both looking to put a stranglehold on a spot in the knockout rounds.

Saturday’s action kicks off with reigning European champion Netherlands taking the field against Cameroon and looking for a more comfortable win than their opener against New Zealand when they left it late with a stoppage time goal for the 1-0 win and the three points. Cameroon were supposed to be the bottom dwellers of the group but they gave Canada everything they could handle in a 1-0 loss on Tuesday.

The second match of the day pits fifth-ranked Canada against New Zealand. Canada dominated possession against Cameroon in their opener, but managed just three shots on goal. Meanwhile New Zealand were themselves run over in terms of possession and likewise only managed three shots on goal. It would seem to point to Canada seeing the large majority of the ball but if neither team manages more than 3 shots on goal in this one it would be surprising (and terribly mundane).

This is your match day discussion thread! Who do you see taking home the points ? Will Christine Sinclair become just the second ever (and in three days) athlete to score at five different World Cups? Will the Netherlands need 90+ to break through again? Share your thoughts below!
