The Women’s World Cup will see the other half of the semifinals confirmed today, and we will know who will round out the final four in Lyon. In the first quarterfinal today, Italy will take on the Netherlands in a contest that should be evenly matched. Italy has impressed throughout the tournament, but the Netherlands have been one of the stronger teams in Europe and the world the past couple years. The Oranje also have former World Player of the Year Leike Martens, while Cristiana Girelli has been lights out for Le Azzurre and could carry them to Lyon.

In the second quarterfinal, Germany will be looking to once again get back to the semifinals when they take on Sweden, who beat Canada in the Round of 16. Germany is looking to once again get back to the final and lift the trophy for a 3rd time. Sweden, who hasn’t beaten Germany since 2015, will seek the minor upset and show they could be a team that is destined for the final.

Who will book the final spots in Lyon?
