Yunus Musah will continue at the Mestalla for quite a while. The 18-year-old midfielder signed a contract extension with Valencia CF today that will keep him with the club through the 2025-2026 season.

Musah broke into the first team this year in a big way. He has appeared in 10 of 11 La Liga matches so far this season for Los Murciélagos (The Bats), scoring a goal against Getafe CF on November 1st. With that goal, he became the youngest non-Spanish player to score for Valencia (17 years, 338 days). He joined Valencia in 2019 from Arsenal’s academy, spending the 2019-2020 season with Valencia B.

Yunus Musah came up with England’s youth national teams, but accepted a call-up last month from the United States Men’s National Team. He started in a draw against Wales on November 12th and a win against Panama on November 16th. In addition to England and the United States, Musah is eligible to play for Ghana and Italy. American fans are hoping that the United States can win the race to have Musah representing on the national team for years to come.
