This morning, Concacaf announced the schedule for the 2020 Concacaf Nations Leagues Finals, and the locations for all matches will be in Texas. The United States Men’s National Team, Mexico, Honduras, and Costa Rica will fight it out to determine who will be crowned the first Nations League champions.
The semifinals will take place on June 4th in Houston, with the USMNT facing Honduras at BBVA Stadium, home of the Houston Dynamo. Across town, Mexico will take on Costa Rica at NRG Stadium, home of the Houston Texans, in the other semifinal. It’s an odd setup to have two games in the same competition going on at different stadiums in the same city, but Concacaf has opted for this setup.
All four teams will then head to Arlington, Texas on June 7th, and AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, will host the 3rd place match and the final. The winners of the semifinal matches will compete in the final, while the other two teams will be in the 3rd place game.
The schedule for the 2020 Concacaf Nations League Finals:
Thursday, June 4, 2020
Honduras vs. United States - 7:30pm ET, BBVA Stadium, Houston
Mexico vs. Costa Rica - 10:00pm ET, NRG Stadium, Houston
Sunday, June 7, 2020
