This assist is why Brenden Aaronson has transfer interest from top European leagues

The MLS is Back tournament has reached the quarterfinals stage and one name on everyone’s mind has has been Brenden Aaronson. The American playmaker has impressed with his play, enough to reportedly draw serious transfer interest from around Europe.

In Thursday night’s match between the Philadelphia Union and Sporting Kansas City, the 19-year-old showed exactly why he’s rated highly by scouts and talent evaluators. His assist on the Union’s third goal of the first half was one of the highest order. Taking a pass from Alejandro Bedoya, his first touch split two defenders expertly, allowing him to play a beautiful throughball towards the runner at the far post for the finish. Take a look:

Aaronson has already made his USMNT debut this year in the 1-0 win over Costa Rica in the annual January camp. He reportedly has interest from clubs such as Borussia Monchengladbach, Eintract Frankfurt, Celtic, Hoffenheim and Freiburg. The kid’s stock seems to be soaring and moments like this are why.
