Rumors had been flying that Weston McKennie was set to head to the Premier League, so it comes as something of a surprise that there’s news he could be headed to Juventus. According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal would see McKennie join on loan from Schalke with an additional option to buy. The full value of the deal would amount to just under $25 million USD.

This would not only be news, but it would be HUGE NEWS for American fans at least. Juventus is the biggest and most storied club in Italy and carries with it a reputation that is recognizable around the globe. Not to mention, one of the best players of all time currently sits on the roster.
Should the move go through, it would be a giant opportunity for McKennie to take a leap in his career. He’d be leaving a struggling Schalke side and joining a Champions League contender. It would also test what he’s truly capable of with a team surrounding him of that includes some of the best players in the world.
