It was another week of goals for the Americans playing abroad. Lynden Gooch got on the scoresheet in England’s third tier, Giovanni Reyna got his first Bundesliga goal, and Emmanuel Sabbi opened his account in Denmark. Plus, Joe Efford picked another assist in Belgium. Let’s get to the Yanks Abroad:
Lynden Gooch - Midfielder, Sunderland
They’re on attempt #2 to get out of League 1 after last season was painfully cut short. But Sunderland have four points through two matches and picked up a 2-0 win at Oxford United on Saturday with a goal from Gooch.
The 24-year-old would score just three minutes after coming on the field. He got the ball near midfield and took a stroll all the way into the box before calmly slotting it passed the keeper. Great start to the season for both him, and Sunderland. HIGHLIGHTS
Gio Reyna - Forward, Borussia Dortmund
Gio got his first Bundesliga goal and helped get BvB off to a perfect start with a 3-0 shutout vs Borussusia Monchengladbach. He actually had a poor first touch but the ball fell right back to him and this time, he was ready.

Emmanuel Sabbi - Forward, Odense
It was a Man of the Match performance (according to FotMob), for the 22-year-old over the weekend! Sabbi scored his first goal with his new club and earned the point against Nordsjaelland.
After conceding in the 55th, Sabbi headed home the equalizer just two minutes later.
