It has been something of a rollercoaster 2020-2021 Premier League campaign for American right back DeAndre Yedlin. The player began the season struggling to find playing time in Newcastle before becoming a fixture in the lineup as of late. Then last week it was reported that he was “lost” due to a visa issue.
Steve Bruce said he "can't comment" on impending arrival of Graeme Jones at NUFC. He also confirmed they have lost DeAndre Yedlin because of a "visa issue".

This came amid uncertainty around Yedlin’s availability to teams next season as his contract is set to expire with Newcastle. However, there seems to be more clarity in regards to that today as the Express reports that the defender has agreed to terms with Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig. The article notes that while Yedlin will join the club in the summer, Galatasaray is interested in paying a transfer fee for him now but will need to work that out with Newcastle.
A move is welcome news as Yedlin’s future in Newcastle was at least in some doubt and could provide a better fit for the right back whose skills are more attack oriented than more defensive options.
