The United States kicks off against Canada in the first game of SheBelieves 2021 tonight. We’ll have starting lineups as they’re available. Vlatko Andonovski said in his pre-game day press conference that for some players, this tournament will be used to simulate an Olympic group stage, and for some players, this will be more of an evaluation camp. We’ll find out who goes in what category as the tournament goes on but there’s some bubble players and young kids who could see this as a chance to make a case for themselves. As for Canada, well - it starts with “Christine Sinclair injury” and extends to “clubs did not release Kadeisha Buchanan, Ashley Lawrence, and Jordyn Huitema.”
USA starting XI: Alyssa Naeher, Crystal Dunn, Abby Dahlkemper, Becky Sauerbrunn, Margaret Purce, Lindsey Horan, Julie Ertz, Catarina Macario, Megan Rapinoe, Carli Lloyd, Lynn Williams
11 starters & 23 strong
