We finally have a roster! On Good Morning America this morning, the 18-player USWNT roster for the Tokyo Olympics was announced. Head coach Vlatko Andonovski will bring 18 players to Tokyo in an effort to try and win the 5th gold medal in the program’s history to go with their 4 World Cups.
We also had the beloved Ted Lasso himself introduce the team in a video released by U.S. Soccer:

DEFENDERS (6): Abby Dahlkemper (Manchester City), Tierna Davidson (Chicago Red Stars), Crystal Dunn (Portland Thorns FC), Kelley O’Hara (Washington Spirit), Becky Sauerbrunn (Portland Thorns FC), Emily Sonnett (Washington Spirit)
MIDFIELDERS (5): Julie Ertz (Chicago Red Stars), Lindsey Horan (Portland Thorns FC), Rose Lavelle (OL Reign), Kristie Mewis (Houston Dash), Samantha Mewis (North Carolina Courage)
FORWARDS (5): Tobin Heath (Unattached), Carli Lloyd (NJ/NY Gotham FC), Alex Morgan (Orlando Pride), Christen Press (Unattached), Megan Rapinoe (OL Reign)
Andonovski also named goalkeeper Jane Campbell, defender Casey Krueger, midfielder Catarina Macario and forward Lynn Williams as his 4 alternates. Those 4 players will travel with the team to Japan and would be able to replace any player due to injury throughout the Olympics.
