Soccer: International Friendly Soccer-Costa Rica at USA Jeffrey Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

After winning the inaugural CONCACAF Nations League Finals, the United States Men’s National coasted to an easy 4-0 victory over Costa Rica. Despite Los Ticos using a surprisingly strong lineup, Gregg Berhalter’s squad was able to dominate on the attacking side of the ball. The USMNT closed out the four-match camp on a high note, claiming a trophy and testing out players in advance of the Gold Cup.

Brenden Aaronson opened the scoring early, pouncing on a loose ball in the box. Daryl Dike doubled the lead in the 42nd minute with his first international goal. After halftime, Reggie Cannon also found the back of the net, prompting television analyst Taylor Twellman to share that the fullback might not be in Portugal next season. For the final tally, Giovanni Reyna converted a penalty almost immediately after entering the match.

Instead of giving you our player ratings, we want to know what you think. Below is a ratings form for you to fill out with ratings for each USMNT player’s performance. After a day/night of voting, we’ll tabulate the ratings and reveal them with the top-rated player being named Stars and Stripes FC’s Man of the Match. Feel free to head down to the comment section and leave your thoughts on the match as a whole or provide a detailed explanation of your ratings.
