Amid all of the chaos of the USA vs. Mexico match, Zack Steffen’s injury was just one of a dozen talking points to emerge from the win. Steffen went down at around the hour mark with what looked like a serious injury. Luckily, it turns out that he suffered a bone bruise rather than something that will sideline him for a significant amount of time according to SBI’s Ives Galarcep.

Though a bone bruise can be painful, it's a manageable recovery, and the best-case scenario considering how Steffen looked on Sunday.#USMNT
The squad will also make a change as Matt Miazga will depart the team this week. The defender is getting married and thus will take off from the side in order to partake in this significant life milestone. His marriage opens the door for a replacement and Walker Zimmerman has been called in to replace him according to US Soccer.

The team also noted that Bryan Reynolds won’t be able to play due to injury. Big Bad Bryan missing the game is obviously disappointing as seeing the youngster with the senior squad would help gauge his progress since joining Roma.
