The 2020 Olympics begin next week, and 12 teams will compete for the right to be called gold medalists. Others may be aiming to make the podium with a bronze or silver medal around their necks. However, for the United States Women’s National Team, there’s only one goal: gold.
The USWNT are the top ranked team at the women’s football tournament at the Summer Olympics. There are other teams that can pose a serious challenge to the queens. Here are the groups:
Group E - Japan, Canada, Great Britain, Chile
Group F - China, Brazil, Zambia, the Netherlands
Group G - Sweden, USA, Australia, New Zealand
No group is easy, and each match could have implications on the rest of the tournament. So, observing the field, there are a few questions:
