Columbus, of course, has hosted the home qualifier against Mexico during the past 5 World Cup qualifying cycles at Mapfre Stadium, which hosted its final Crew match earlier this year. Now, Columbus will be the host for what is normally the 2nd-toughest home qualifier on the docket.
The October 13th qualifier will be the final match of the October window, coming on the heels of the USMNT playing against Jamaica in Austin and then traveling to face Panama on the road. It will be the first U.S. match at the new 20,011-seat stadium that opened on July 3rd.
