In a Empire of Soccer article by Dave Martinez: Cosmos in Crisis: Late Pay, Furloughs cast team’s future in doubt The North American Soccer League has been in trouble for several months. Been saying this for years. We're too hard on the coaches (I'm looking right at you, Adam Whittaker Snavely) and way too soft on our players. While I love the kid, it boggles my mind that Jordan Morris has NYT write-ups on him being one of the next great US players. This would never happen in Europe. And when you stand him up next to Pulisic (who's 4 years his junior), you see the difference between the development systems (and the players' drive) in the US and the rest of the world as clear as day.
No way in hell Klinsi would ever consider this, but it's something to think about if we ever wanted to shoot for a pot 1 spot in the WC.
