USMNT vs. Panama, 2015 Gold Cup: Time, TV schedule, streaming and more

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The United States weren't supposed to be playing today. They were supposed to beat Jamaica and be in the Gold Cup final, scheduled for Sunday, when they would have the chance to win their second consecutive CONCACAF championship. Then the Reggae Boyz shocked them, and now they're stuck playing Panama in a third place game that no one wants to be a part of.

This third place match could very well be a joke. Panama were screwed so badly in their semifinal against Mexico that the team considered boycotting today's contest and they are unlikely to start many of their best players. Even those who do play probably won't be anywhere near their best. Meanwhile, Jurgen Klinsmann knows this is an easy match to pick up a win and reverse some of the negative talk about the team after their loss to Jamaica.

The match will be shown live on Fox Sports 2. They probably expected the U.S. in the final so they weren't making the third place match a focus and put it on their network with smaller distribution, which could be problematic for some viewers. John Strong and Tony Meola will be on the call and there is no planned pre-game or post-game show.

Univision will have the match in Spanish, while Fox Sports Go handles the streaming duties.

Match date/time: Saturday, July 25; 4 p.m. ET

Venue: PPL Park, Chester, PA

TV: Fox Sports 2 (English), Univision (Spanish)

Steaming: Fox Sports Go
