Christian Zapata's volley puts Colombia up early over USA

Colombia have taken a lead over the USA just eight minutes into the Copa America Centenario. From a corner kick, center back Christian Zapata was left all alone at the top of the box. The defender walloped a volley low and hard past Brad Guzan to peg the U.S. back early on.

The goal was a result of some bad marking in the box by the USMNT, but some credit must be given to Colombia who ran a very nice set piece play off the corner kick. The U.S. have had problems in the recent past defending set pieces. They conceded a goal to Guatemala in March off a corner kick as well.

This is definitely not the start Jurgen Klinsmann would liked to have seen. Colombia will now have the advantage as the Americans will need to push for the equalizer. They'll have to be very careful to not panic and stay compact at the back so they don't concede another one.
