Terrence Boyd's agent quashes one transfer rumor, says options still being weighed

No move to Red Bull Leipzig is complete as Boyd is still considering offers from Sporting CP and Wigan Athletic.

Terrence Boyd is apparently all set to leave Rapid Vienna this summer, but the United States forward has not yet decided where, according to comments his agent made to MLSsoccer.com. Konstantin Liolios quashed reports that Boyd was already set to join Bundesliga 2. side Red Bull Leipzig.

"He has not signed any deal yet," Liolios told MLSsoccer.com on Friday. "[Rapid] are thinking about going into negotiations with one of the teams, but Terrence has also still not made a decision about where he would like to go."

Among the other teams reportedly seeking Boyd's transfer are Portugal's Sporting CP and Wigan Athletic, currently playing in the English Championship. Any of these moves would probably be considered an upgrade over Rapid Vienna, which plays in Austria's Bundesliga.

Sporting CP has already qualified directly into the Champions League group stage and Wigan is coming off a season in which they qualified for the promotion playoff and advanced to the semifinal of the FA Cup.

The 23-year-old is coming off a season in which he scored 20 goals in about 2,600 minutes across all competitions and he scored 37 goals across all competitions in his two seasons with Rapid. He was also among the 30 players called into Jurgen Klinsmann's pre-World Cup training camp.
