Joe Gyau is hoping his career will finally take off at Borussia Dortmund, who he just signed for this summer, but for now, he is on the reserve team. If he wants to make the first team and really get things going, he'll have to prove it in the 3. Liga, and he did that yesterday, notching a brace in Dortmund's 5-1 win.
Watch him score the first and third goals of the match:
Gyau still has everything we remember of him from his youth national team days. He's quick and fast, causing havoc when he gets space to run at defenders. He'll also shoot with every chance he gets. These are just highlights, but it's clear he still has that going for him.
But Gyau is going to be 22 years old soon and he's in the third division, a league filled with lower division players and reserves. Many of the players are teenagers, so Gyau should be very good. He obviously still has to play well, and early indications are that he is, but this isn't a league that should be challenging him. So far, so good.
