Jordan Morris' training stint at Werder Bremen continues to go well. He's already impressed in training and, in his first friendly with the team on Friday, he picked up an assist.
That's Morris picking up a pass, racing down the left and using the outside of his right foot for a cross that Claudio Pizarro buried.
Werder Bremen are on their winter break, so they don't have any Bundesliga matches. They left Germany for training camp -- Germany is cold -- to get ready for the second half of the season and are playing friendlies against teams from other leagues. This was against Inter Baku, who are second in the Azerbaijan league. It's unclear whether this was Inter Baku's first team, the quality of the match or anything so what this is indicative is complete speculation, but assists are good regardless.
Werder Bremen have praised Morris' pace and aggressiveness. He showed both here. Whether a contract offer is coming, and whether he signs in Europe or goes to the Seattle Sounders, remains to be seen.
