Could the American be the next to leave for the Bundesliga kings?

Despite another loss in what has been a nightmarish 30 days (results wise) for 19-year-old Christian Pulisic, he made quite the impression against Bayern Munich on Saturday. The Pennsylvania native made the highlight reel with a dirty nutmeg of Arjen Robben in the build-up of a late consolation goal (Watch that here). Even more, Pulisic was one of the few overall bright spots on a dark day for the yellow and black.

He impressed Bayern Munich legend Lothar Matthäus so much on the day that the German told Sky after the match that once it’s time to replace Robben and/or Frank Ribery that the club should be knocking on Pulisic’s door.

"If Bayern Munich someday looks for a replacement for Robben and [Franck] Ribery, then they have to put out their feelers for Pulisic," Matthaus told Sky .

"He is 19 years old and has high quality." Matthaus continued. "With his confidence and his speed, he is called to higher [things]." (H/T to Goal.com)

Bayern are no stranger to poaching Dortmund’s top players. Mario Gotze, Robert Lewandowski and Mats Hummels headline the star-studded list of stars that have been lured away from Signal Iduna Park by the perennial Bundesliga title favorites.

Dortmund are in the midst of a horrid run of form after starting the season so bright. With Pulisic performing well, the offers could start coming thick and fast beginning in the winter.

What do you think? Would Pulisic fit in at Bayern once Robben and/or Ribery are gone? How long do you see him staying at Dortmund? Have your say in the comments.
