Watch Matthew Olosunde score amazing goal for Manchester United U-19’s

Against Real Salt Lake in the Dallas Cup.

It’s not often we bring you highlights from the European youth scene. Americans are doing quite well at the youth levels this season, mainly in Germany. However, this goal by Manchester United’s Matthew Olosunde was too good not to share.

The U.S. youth international scored this fantastic goal against Real Salt Lake in the Dallas Cup yesterday. Playing on the left flank, he managed to dribble his way past three different RSL defenders and beat the goalkeeper for a great solo goal.

Olosunde has been a very exciting prospect. Personally, the first time he caught my eye was with the U.S. U-17’s at the Nike Friendlies in 2015. At that time he was playing as a prototypical right back. Not only does he possess extraordinary pace, but he has the technical ability to go along with it. That mix makes him such a rare American prospect. It’s interesting that any time a highlight clip pops up of him, he’s on the left side of the field for United’s youth teams. It appears his role has changed in England. Hopefully we get to see him in the U-20 World Cup later this year.
