I come here to bring you good news, U.S. International and Seattle native DeAndre Yedlin has returned to training after suffering a hamstring injury during Newcastle United’s preseason, and his return couldn’t come at a better time.
We’re only two weeks out from facing the Ticos as the next round of World Cup Qualifying fires up. With John Brooks recently going down, knowing that Yedlin is working on his return to fitness is somewhat of a relief to USMNT fans.
He returned to training on Wednesday so it might be a stretch to see him playing this weekend as Newcastle take on newly promoted Huddersfield. While that’s not great for Newcastle fans - it looks good if you’re rooting for the USMNT.
Last season with Newcastle he played in 32 matches across all competitions, scoring a goal and racking up 6 assists to help his team get promoted to the Premier League.
