Christian Pulisic is continuing to perform well for Borussia Dortmund. The 20-year-old American has scored a goal and added an assist for BvB in their 2nd round DFB-Pokal matchup against Union Berlin.

In the 40th minute, Pulisic opened up scoring, following up a Shinji Kagawa header to punch it past the keeper into the net.

Union Berlin equalized in the 63rd minute, and the 1-1 scoreline held until the 73rd minute. Then, Pulisic was able to set up Maximilian Philipp for Dortmund’s second goal.

Berlin equalized again late, and the match is going into extra time deadlocked at 2-2. The winner will move onto the Round of 16.

Update: Dortmund went on to win the match, courtesy of a Marco Reus penalty in the 120th minute to beat Union Berlin 3-2. Who drew the penalty? Who else but Christian Pulisic! Dortmund will move on in the DFB-Pokal thanks to those heroics.

Christian Pulisic is once again performing extremely well for his club, and he hopes to remain healthy so that he can join the United States Men’s National Team for matches next month against England and Italy. Let’s hope that his name is on the roster when it’s released, as expected, on Monday.
