The Americans enjoyed a considerable amount of success this past week, scoring goals & recording assists around the globe. Jorge Villafana & Tim Ream were named to their respective leagues’ Team of the Week. Aron Johannsson was the hero for Werder Bremen - sort of. Plus Mix Diskrerud even scored a goal! No really.

Let’s take a look at the highs & lows of our Yanks Abroad:

Kenny Saief
The 24 year old has been playing very well for Anderlecht in Belgium’s First Division A. That continued over the weekend as he had a beautiful assist in a 5-3 win over Royal Excel Mouscron. VIDEO LINK

Keaton Parks
After seeing minutes here and there with the first team, Parks has been playing for Benfica B. On Sunday he leveled the match at 1-1 to earn a point against Cova Piedade.

Mix Diskerud
Back at IFK Goteburg, but now technically a Manchester City player, Mix got on the score sheet with a 68’ min goal vs Oester over the weekend in a 1-1 Swedish Cup match.

Romain Gall
Gall also scored in Swedish Cup play over the weekend. He put home the winner for GIF Sundsvall in a 2-1 win over IFK Varnamo.

Aron Johannsson
He’s been seeing more time on the pitch for Werder Bremen as of late and over the weekend he capitalized again. Johannsson was subbed on in the 83’ minute and in my own personal record book he scored the winner. HOWEVER.. a Hamburger defender decided to steal his glory and apply the final touch himself. Julian Green
Green assisted the opening goal in the 21’ minute for Greuther Furth as they defeated Eintracht Braunschweig in the 2. Bundesliga by a final of 2-1. He also got a yellow card, his third in as many games. Chill out, bro.

DeAndre Yedlin
Went the distance against against Bournemouth, picking up a yellow card as Newcastle got a point on the road in the 2-2 draw. They are down in 15th place and just two points from the relegation zone.

Jorge Villafaña
Earned team of the week honors in Liga MX for his 90 minute performance on the backline for Santos in a 2-0 shutout of Cruz Azul.

Tim Ream
Ream was named to the EFL Team of the Week for his efforts during a big 2-0 win for Fulham over league leading Wolverhampton. The center back has been quite consistent this year and Fulham are currently in the Promotion Qualification Zone (and just 8 points behind promotion).

Christian Pulisic
Started on the bench but came on for the goalscorer Reus in the 77’ minute. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to spark BvB to a winner and they settled for a 1-1 draw against Augsburg on Monday.

Geoff Cameron
Cameron played all 90 minutes of Stoke’s 1-1 draw at Leicester City on Saturday.

Danny Williams
His Huddersfield side picked up three points with a 2-1 win at West Bromwich Albion. They are sitting in 14th place, a point ahead of Yedlin & Newcastle.

Crystal Dunn
She picked up an assist for the Chelsea Ladies in a 2-2 draw with Manchester City over the weekend. But then the next day she left the team to join the North Carolina Courage in the NWSL. Dunn was also named to the USWNT roster for the SheBelieves Cup.

Heather O’Reilly
Went the distance for Arsenal in a 1-0 shutout of Everton.

Bobby Wood
He came on for the final 13 minutes of Hamburger’s 1-0 loss to Werder Bremen. He saw all of 11 touches on the day and completed 3 of 5 passes.

Cameron Carter-Vickers
He was on the right side of a three man back line for Ipswitch Town as they shutout Preston North End 1-0. The Tottenham loanee has been seeing some very good minutes in the Championship this year.

Antonee Robinson
The 20 year old played all 90 minutes at left back as Bolton Wanderers drew at Norwich 0-0. There were three shots on goal the entire match. Thrilling affair, that one.

Timmy Chandler
Chandler started and played all 90 minutes of Eintracht Frankfurt’s 1-0 loss to Stuttgart. He turned in pretty poor numbers along with most of the visiting team. But Frankfurt still sits in 4th place with a UCL spot.

Matt Miazga
The Vitesse center back went all 90 minutes as they drew 2-2 with VVV-Venlo, which is surprisingly a real name.

Haji Wright
The Schalke loanee came off the bench in the 61’ minute as Sandhausen fell to Union Berlin 2-1.

William Yarbrough
He was between the sticks for Leon’s 2-1 loss at Pachuca.

Landon Donovan
He is a Yank. And he is playing abroad. It’s crazy but he’s here whether we like it or not. Although he is at the bottom because he only played the final nine minutes of Leon’s loss.
