WATCH: Josh Sargent scores for Werder Bremen II

The kid gets Werder Bremen on the board...salute.

Josh Sargent is back on the score sheet again. The 18-year-old striker has scored in the 38th minute of Werder Bremen II’s match against SV Drochtersen in the Regionalliga Nord. Werder Bremen II is the reserve side for Bundesliga side Werder Bremen, and they play in the 4th division of German football.

Sargent was fed great service into the box off some nice buildup and rocketed the ball past the Drochtersen keeper into the net:

It is the 3rd goal so far this season for the United States international for Werder Bremen II, and this can only give him confidence as he works his way up to joining the senior team. He clearly has a knack for scoring goals, and if he can keep it up, it will be only a matter of time before he’s doing this against Mainz 05, Stuttgart or Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga.

Could we see Josh Sargent on the roster for the USMNT when they take on Brazil and Mexico next month? One would expect to see his name listed. His goalscoring will be welcome, and we’ll need his confidence when we take on a world soccer superpower and our arch-rivals.
