Timothy Weah is doing Timothy Weah things these days. Weah started on the bench as Celtic FC returned to league play today. The 18-year-old United States international made his league debut when he came on in the 64th minute for Oliver Burke with Celtic already leading 3-0. Weah had a shot saved just a few minutes after coming on. However, he would not be denied in the 86th minute. Weah patiently waited to make the run onto a lovely through ball and poked it under the keeper for the goal.

Celtic’s official Twitter account celebrated the goal by singing that tune that will be stuck in my head all day tomorrow. Boom Boom Boom...

Celtic would end up winning by that same 4-0 scoreline to move in front of Kilmarnock for first place in the Scottish Premier League. For Weah, he’s off to a great start to his time in Scotland, having scored in each of his two appearances.
Celtic have multiple matches every week between now and the end of February, so there should be ample opportunities for him to play. Let’s hope he keeps up this early form.
