United States Men’s National Team right back Shaq Moore has returned to La Liga side Levante after his loan with Liga Segunda’s Reus Deportiu was terminated. The 22-year-old had been in-and-out of the lineup with Reus, appearing in only eight of the team’s league matches, but starting the past four.

Marca has reported that Moore is one of at least five players who have left the club after failing to be paid since September. Reus currently has just thirteen players under contract and the club looks poised for relegation, sitting in 21st place out of 22 teams.

According to a Soccer America article (behind the paywall), Moore will join Levante’s reserve side Atlético Levante. Atlético Levante play in the Segunda Division B (third tier) and will be familiar to Moore, as he played with the team from 2016-2018. During that sting, he also made six La Liga appearances for Levante’s senior side.

Shaq Moore made his USMNT debut in June 2018 with a substitute appearance against Ireland. He also appeared against France, Brazil, England and Italy for a total of 5 caps, including 3 starts.
