Community Corner: Which league do you wish had more American players?

We’ve had similar discussions before...let’s revisit the topic.

The United States Men’s National Team has a player pool that is rich with young stars and aging veterans, from different walks of life. Many of them ply their trade in Major League Soccer, while others are in England playing in the Premier League or the EFL Championship. We have players in Germany and the Netherlands and even Denmark and Sweden.

However, there are some leagues that fans keep their eyes on every week that have very few, if any, American players that call the league home. La Liga, Ligue 1, the Brasileiro, Serie A, and even the A-League and J. League have very few American players that you can watch every week.

Still, there is a lot of good soccer out there in the world, and there could be chances for American players to make some inroads in places that would be viewed as unconventional or otherwise out of their comfort zone. So, we revisit this topic: which league do you wish had more American players? Is it a big league in Europe, like La Liga or Serie A? Is it a league further down the pecking order, like Greece or Austria? Could it be a league in South America? Or, do you wish a league in Africa or Asia would be a landing spot for American talent?

Hit the comments and let us know what league you think could benefit from more American flair.
