EFL Championship side Fulham FC have extended the contract of United States Men’s National Team defender Tim Ream until 2021. Fulham exercised a one-year option in Ream’s current contract.

The 31-year-old has been a key player for Fulham since joining the club from Bolton Wanderers in 2015. He was named the club’s Player of the Season in 2017-2018, during which it earned promotion to the Premier League. Last season, Ream made 26 appearances as the club was relegated from the Premier League. He has made four appearances in the first five games of the 2019-2020 Championship season. Fulham is currently fifth in the Championship and are expected to be fighting for promotion.

Ream has been a favorite of USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter in 2019, making nine appearances so far. He appeared in five of six games at the 2019 Gold Cup. He played exclusively as a left-back as the team advanced to the final and lost 1-0 to Mexico.

Excited to see Tim Ream continue on with Fulham?
