Yanks Abroad: Goals from Terrence Boyd, Lynden Gooch

Weekly update on the Americans playing for clubs abroad.

Terrance Boyd and Lynden Gooch recorded goals, while Julian Green scored a clutch penalty kick to give his team the win over the weekend. There was plenty to like from the United States Men’s National Team, but it wasn’t all find & dandy as Jonathan Klinsmann saw red and Aron Jóhannsson left with an injury.

The 28-year-old is having a good start to the season for Hallescher FC in the third tier as he scored two more goals on Sunday. The first was quite fortunate but the second, which proved to be the match winner, was emphatically finished. They held on for a 3-2 win over Ingolstadt. HIGHLIGHTS

The Gruether Fürth man converted the game winning penalty kick in the 90th minute to get the 2-1 result over Wehen.
