USMNT midweek viewing guide: Smorgasbord

Our brightest USMNT stars are on display this midweek - in fact, so much action, I didn’t have the guide ready ‘til now. Let’s get into it! Here’s a snapshot of who’s in action:

Tuesday

  • Borussia Mönchengladbach v Borussia Dortmund, 2:45p on ESPN Deportes, fuboTV: Gio Reyna played in 5 of 6 for Dortmund last month; they face a slumping Gladbach in the DFB Pokal quarter-final. Joe Scally made his first Gladbach U23 appearance Saturday.
  • Juventus v Spezia, 2:45p on ESPN+, fuboTV: Weston McKennie played in all 7 for Juve last month; they will be looking for 3 points, as they still trail Inter by 10 points.

Also in action:

  • Frosinone v Monza, 11a: Andrija Novakovich started up front as Frosinone trails 2-1 at half as of writing time.
  • Huddersfield Town v Birmingham City, 2p: Huddersfield have lost 2 straight since Holmes’ 2-goal outburst v Swansea; he continues to start.
  • AS Nancy v SM Caen, 2p: Niko Gioacchini has gone 89’ and 90’ in Caen’s last 2, and played in 16 of 18, but hasn’t scored or assisted since December.
  • Sunderland v Swindon Town, 2p: Lynden Gooch has played in 8 straight for Sunderland.
  • Nottingham Forest v Luton Town, 2:45p: Alex Mighten hasn’t played in Forest’s last 2; his last game, he scored this goal.
  • Manchester City v Wolves, 3p on NCBSN, fuboTV: Zack Steffen and Owen Otasowie have gone a combined 21 games straight where they made the team sheet but did not play (league only for Steffen, all comps for Otasowie).
  • Atlas v Atlético San Luis, 6p on TUDN, fuboTV: Ventura Alvarado has appeared only once for San Luis in the Clausura.
  • Talleres de Córdoba v Atletico Rafaela, 6:10p on fuboTV: Joel Soñora has played in all 5 for Talleres to start the new season; they are in the Copa Argentina quarter-final.

Wednesday

  • RB Leipzig v VfL Wolfsburg, 2:45p on ESPN Deportes, fuboTV: Leipzig and Wolfsburg sit in 2nd and 3rd in the Bundesliga, and have won a combined 9 of their last 10. Tyler Adams has played in 9 straight for Leipzig, John Brooks missed Wolfsburg’s last game with a yellow card suspension.
  • Fiorentina v AS Roma, 2;45p on ESPN+: Bryan Reynolds could make his Serie A debut.
  • FC Barcelona v Sevilla, 3p on ESPN+: Barça trail Sevilla 2-0 heading into the second leg of the Copa del Rey semifinal. Sergiño Dest has played in 6 of 8 for Barça, including their 2-0 win over Sevilla in the league on Saturday. Konrad de la Fuente has made the bench for 14 straight in the league without playing.
  • Lille v Marseille, 3p on fuboTV: Tim Weah has played in 20 straight for Lille, but with only 7 starts in that time, and only 3 starts in the league. Lille are two points clear of PSG at the top of the table.

  • Sivasspor v Hatayspor, 8a: Tyler Boyd has played in 4 straight for Sivasspor.
  • Ankaragucu v Galatasaray, 11a on beIN Sports: DeAndre Yedlin has gone 90’ for Galatasaray’s last two.
  • Hapoel Tel Aviv v Maccabi Haifa, 1:45p: Josh Cohen has started Haifa’s last 14.
  • Queens Park Rangers v Barnsley, 2p: Daryl Dike has played in Barnsley’s last 6, Geoff Cameron in QPR’s last 16. Charlie Kelman has 7 QPR appearances for 59 total minutes in the league.
  • FC Basel v BSC Young Boys, 2:30p: Jordan Siebatcheu scored 3 in Young Boys’ last 2 Europa League games, but hasn’t started for them in the league since Feb 10 (he scored then, too).
  • Bristol City v Bournemouth, 2:45p: Cameron Carter-Vickers has started Bournemouth’s last 7.
  • Anderlecht v Cercle Brugge, 2:45p: Matt Miazga and Anderlecht are in the Belgian cup.
  • Sheffield Wednesday v Rotherham United, 2:45p: Matt Olosunde hasn’t missed any of Rotherham’s last 22 games. They are in dreadful form, finding themselves in relegation position after losing 5 straight.
  • Sturm Graz vs RB Salzburg, 3:05p: Brenden Aaronson and Salzburg have cup action.
  • Stoke City v Swansea City, 3:15p: Paul Arriola has subbed on 3 times for Swansea, amassing 42 minutes.
  • Querétaro v Chivas de Guadalajara, 8p on TUDN, UniMás, fuboTV: Joe Gallardo has played in 5 of 7 for Querétaro, coming off the bench to score this beauty a week ago.

Thursday

  • Liverpool FC v Chelsea FC, 3:15p on Peacock: Bayern-rumored Christian Pulisic will be looking to break into the Chelsea squad as they face wounded champions Liverpool, who finally got a win against Sheffield United Sunday after dropping 4 straight in the league.

Also in action:

  • Genk v Mechelen, 12p: Mark McKenzie and Genk are in Belgian cup action.
  • SønderjyskE v Odense BK, 12p: Emmanuel Sabbi starts regularly for Odense, scoring this goal on Sunday. Haji Wright has started 5 straight for SønderjyskE.
  • Fulham v Tottenham Hotspur, 1p on Peacock: Antonee Robinson played in 3 of 4 for Fulham, although only 1 was a start. Tim Ream hasn’t played in the league since October.
  • Pelotas v Internacional, 6p on Premiere: Johnny has played in 7 of 10 for Internacional, and he went 90’ in their first game in this competition (Brazilian Campeonato Gaucho).
  • Necaxa v Pachuca, 8p on TUDN, fuboTV: Mexican dual-nat winger Alejandro Zendejas has started all 8 for Necaxa so far in the Clausura, but he may miss this game if he’s called into Mexico’s Olympic qualifying camp (he was on their provisional roster). Fernando Arce has 2 starts and 3 subs for Necaxa.
  • Pumas UNAM v Santos Laguna, 10p on TUDN, fuboTV: Sebastian Saucedo has not been in the squad for Pumas’ last 5; expect that streak to continue, as he may be in camp with Jason Kreis and the U-23s.
