The United States will bid farewell to Landon Donovan on Friday in a friendly against Ecuador and when he steps on the field, all eyes will be on him. That was going to be the case regardless -- and it should be for the most accomplished national teamer the U.S. has ever had -- but it be especially true now that the rest of the roster has been named.

Which of these is not like the others?

Brad Guzan - 18 caps, 0 goals
Bill Hamid - 1 cap, 0 goals
Nick Rimando - 15 caps, 0 goals

John Brooks - 6 caps, 1 goals
Timothy Chandler - 14 caps, 0 goals
Greg Garza - 1 cap, 0 goals
Omar Gonzalez - 23 caps, 0 goals
Michael Orozco - 12 caps, 3 goals
Tim Ream - 9 caps, 0 goals
DeAndre Yedlin - 7 caps, 0 goals

Alejandro Bedoya - 33 caps, 2 goals
Joe Corona - 12 caps, 2 goals
Mix Diskerud - 21 caps, 3 goals
Julian Green - 4 caps, 1 goal
Luis Gil - 1 cap, 0 goals
Alfredo Morales - 2 caps, 0 goals

Jozy Altidore - 72 caps, 23 goals
Landon Donovan - 156 caps, 57 goals
Joe Gyau - 1 cap, 0 goals
Miguel Ibarra - 0 caps, 0 goals
Bobby Wood - 1 cap, 0 goals

Donovan has 156 caps and 57 goals. The rest of the team has 261 caps and 35 goals combined. Take Jozy Altidore out of the equation and it's 189 caps and 10 goals for the rest of the American squad.

Then again, Donovan has the second-most caps in U.S. history and most goals, so he is always going to stand out, but this is pretty startling. It shows just how inexperienced this team is. And how good Landon has been.
