The United States will look to get on track on Tuesday in Zurich, where they take on Switzerland in a friendly. The Americans fell to Denmark last week, continuing a stretch of poor play and generally poor results that began after the World Cup next year. But with a big summer coming up, things need to change and the U.S. will be hoping to beat a good Switzerland team to give them some momentum.
The match kicks off at noon ET and will be televised by Fox Sports 1. That is if you don't have AT&T U-Verse. Fox and AT&T are in a carriage disagreement and the match will be blacked out on FS1 if you have AT&T so if that's your cable carrier, find a friend's house or a bar to watch the game. If you have any other cable or satellite provider, you will be fine.
Fox will have John Strong on the call, with Brad Friedel providing the color commentary. Rob Stone will handle the studio coverage, with Alexi Lalas, Eric Wynalda and Stuart Holden joining him for pre and post-game duties.
Switzerland are a very good team, checking in at No. 12 in the world and having earned a seed at last year's World Cup. They're going to be a major test for the Americans, who have really struggled of late. This string of friendlies has been more about getting looks at players than anything else so the losses aren't a reason for panic, but with things kicking into high gear come June, it would be nice to see a good win for a bit of a confidence boost.
