The United States will bring the kids to Carolina. American manager Dave Sarachan today named the 22-man roster that he will employ for the USMNT’s friendly against Paraguay on March 27th in Cary, North Carolina. Dominating the roster release is the surprise omission of American phenom Christian Pulisic, who many fans expected to be in camp for the USMNT with it being an official FIFA international window where players must be released. Still, it will be a young squad with an average age of 24 that takes the field against La Albirroja.

The 22-man roster:

GOALKEEPERS (3): Alex Bono (Toronto FC), Bill Hamid (FC Midtjylland), Zack Steffen (Columbus Crew SC)

DEFENDERS (8): Cameron Carter-Vickers (Ipswich Town), Eric Lichaj (Nottingham Forest), Matt Miazga (Vitesse), Shaq Moore (Levante), Erik Palmer-Brown (Kortrijk), Antonee Robinson (Bolton Wanderers), Jorge Villafaña (Santos Laguna), DeAndre Yedlin (Newcastle)

MIDFIELDERS (8): Tyler Adams (New York Red Bulls), Marky Delgado (Toronto FC), Weston McKennie (Schalke 04), Darlington Nagbe (Atlanta United), Cristian Roldan (Seattle Sounders), Kenny Saief (Anderlecht), Wil Trapp (Columbus Crew SC), Tim Weah (Paris Saint-Germain)

FORWARDS (3): Andrija Novakovich (Telstar), Rubio Rubin (Club Tijuana), Bobby Wood (Hamburger SV)

The match against Paraguay will kickoff March 27th at 7:30pm on FS1, UniMás, and Univisión Deportes. Thoughts on the 23-man roster?
