The United States took down Mexico 1-0 Tuesday night in the latest episode of one of the world’s top rivalries. There were quite a few great individual performances, but as always we put it to the Stars & Stripes FC community to determine who was the best on the night.
In the end, it was close, but it was Matt Miazga who had the highest rating among the USMNT players who featured. For the second match in a row, Miazga earns the SSFC Man of the Match.
Sure, a lot of votes could have come as a result of him giving us an Oguchi Onyewu-type staredown moment. But, Miazga also delivered another terrific performance at centerback and really proved that he could be the answer in the defensive middle for the United States.
