With January Camp underway, Doug McIntyre of Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the United States Men’s National Team have scheduled friendlies with two South American squads, Ecuador and Chile, come March. On either March 21st or 22nd, the USMNT will face Ecuador in Orlando and then face Chile on March 26th in Houston.
Hearing that the #USMNT will play Ecuador in Orlando March 21 or 22 before facing Chile in Houston March 26. If games are finalized, that’s two good tests for the first full-strength U.S. squad under new coach Gregg Berhalter.

While January Camp gives new head coach Gregg Berhalter a good look at his mostly domestic players, the March window is one that will give Gregg Berhalter the chance to call in a full squad, meaning his first opportunity to get a closer look at guys like Christian Pulisic, Tyler Adams, Weston McKinnie and others and have time to get them up to speed.
Chile and Ecuador will provide a decent test for Gregg Berhalter’s squad. It’ll be interesting to see how he works his European players into the fold if these matches are confirmed. But for now, he’s got time to work on how he’s going to run things while the players adjust to his coaching style.
