The United States Men’s National Team could face another terrific opponent on the road in March. According to a report by Soccer by Ives, the USMNT will take on Wales in a friendly on March 30th in Cardiff.
The rumor of a Wales matchup was first reported by Steven Goff of the Washington Post back in December:
USSF in talks with Wales for the second #usmnt match. No deal yet.

The USMNT will take on the Netherlands in Eindhoven on March 26th, and the Wales match would complete a March window abroad for the Yanks. Wales is an opponent the USMNT has only faced one other time in their history. The teams faced each other in a May 26, 2003 friendly in San Jose, which the USMNT won 2-0. Wales has improved considerably since then, as they are currently tied with the USMNT at 22nd in the FIFA World Rankings.
A Netherlands-Wales set of friendlies in March would be a pretty solid set of tests ahead of a very busy summer/fall for the #USMNT : https://t.co/JTIVauqkQL
