Brek Shea was supposed to be the future of United States soccer after his remarkable 2011 season for FC Dallas*. Graham Zusi has emerged as one of the best players in MLS. But while Shea's career has stagnated -- especially after going to Stoke City - and he hasn't started a World Cup qualifier for the U.S. Zusi has found himself ahead of Landon Donovan on the depth chart and starting for Jurgen Klinsmann's team.
