If you want general tickets to the Confederations Cup playoff between the United States and Mexico (October 10, 9 p.m. ET at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA), you will have your opportunity to get them via a lottery. CONCACAF announced how tickets to the match would be distributed and the important dates for each stage on Tuesday.
Beginning on September 9, fans will be able to visit CONCACAF.com and apply to a lottery for tickets. On September 18, those who won the lottery will be notified and allowed to select which tickets they want to buy in which areas of the stadium.
After the lottery, a small number of tickets will be released on September 29.
In addition to the general tickets being sold by CONCACAF, the U.S. and Mexico federations were allocated thousands of tickets to distribute as they see fit. U.S. Soccer made 7,000 of theirs available to the American Outlaws, with the remainder available to U.S. Soccer Supporters Club members. Local clubs and sponsors also received tickets to distribute.
Tickets for the match are some of the most expensive ever, with those being allocated to the American Outlaws behind the goal coming in over $100.
