According to Rangers FC boss Pedro Caixinha, Emerson Hyndman picked up a foot injury that kept him out last week’s training and their match on the weekend. Hyndman is most likely out for the rest of the season (3 matches), thus bringing his loan spell with the Teddy Bears to an end.

Here’s what Caixinha told the club’s official website.

“I was just speaking with the doctor before but he could not train with us for the whole week, so we just need to have the final result from one analysis that he did.

“But supposedly he cannot play now and he cannot play more until the end of the season.”

The 21-year-old midfielder from Texas and U.S. International midfielder enjoyed a successful loan spell at Rangers that started in the January transfer window. With his season likely over, he’ll head back to the south coast of England and rejoin the Cherries. Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has reiterated that Hyndman is not for sale.
