The final weekend before the most important international break in recent memory is here. Before the United States men’s national team battle for their World Cup lives, they must watch and hope that none of their important players pick up any injuries this weekend.

I’ve selected Newcastle United vs. Liverpool as our Match of the Weekend for the sole reason that DeAndre Yedlin could play. He’s started the last two matches for the Magpies. There will be nervous eyes watching from all over the U.S., in hopes that Yedlin will escape without harm and be available for selection when the USMNT host Panama this coming Friday in Orlando.

The full-back missed the last set of qualifiers with a hamstring injury. Having him back and available would be a big boost for an American back line that was in dire need of familiarity. Fingers crossed for all of the potential call-ups this weekend.
